The top frame is stub mortice and tenoned with infill pieces notched at 3\/4 inches apart.<\/p>\n
The legs are of 3 inch by 4 1\/2 inch section and stub morticed into top and bottom feet\/cross rails.<\/p>\n

The seat frame is mortice and tenoned. The seat back and seat pieces are half tenoned and morticed into the front and back rails.<\/p>\n

It is not necessary to apply any finishes to elm, but an oil coat of linseed or teak oil will help keep the colour of the wood.<\/p>\n
